Franco Calissoni wanted the olive trees of his estate to be planted really close to one another so that they could look like a phalanx of soldiers defending a tradition which, thanks to the Calissoni’s family foresight and commitment, has successfully established in the local area of Aprilia. Since 2008 the company has been run by Mrs Laura Colnaghi Calissoni together with her sister Francesca Feroldi Calissoni and now covers over 60 acres with over 11.500 olive trees belonging to four different cultivars: frantoio, leccino, moraiolo and itrana.
